The tornado outlook for Oklahoma does not look good for May of this year.  Data analysis shows us how many tornadoes Oklahoma averages when there is an El Nino weather pattern, a La Nina weather pattern and when there is neither.  The research indicates that when neither El Nino or La Nina dominates May weather there are on average 18.6 tornado reports in Oklahoma.  However, when La Nina is dominant the average jumps to 26.4 and when El Nino is dominant the average is even higher--28.4 tornado reports.  Guess what, presently an El Nino set-up is projected to last most of the season.  Stay tuned Oklahoma....Spring is right around the corner.
